Collated screws are screws held in a plastic strip or belt so they feed one after another into an auto-feed screw gun. The installer does not handle each screw, so large areas of plasterboard, flooring or decking can be fixed much faster and at a consistent depth.

Common Purchasing Mistakes
Not checking strip compatibility. A strip that does not fit the tool will jam. Send a sample strip.
Wrong screw type. Drywall screws are not made for decking. Order the screw type for the job.
Carbon steel on coastal decks. Use 316 stainless steel near the coast.
Mixing lengths in one carton. Keep one size per carton and label.
