Coloured Head Rivets

Colour-matched blind rivets for roofing, cladding, fascia and guttering. Head colours matched to the Colorbond® range, in aluminium, steel and stainless steel combinations.

Category:

Coloured head rivets are blind rivets with a painted head that matches the colour of the roofing, cladding or trim they fix. They are installed from one side of the work, and the coloured head blends into the finished surface instead of leaving a bright metal dot on a painted sheet.

Linkworld supplies coloured head rivets to fastener distributors, roofing suppliers and sheet-metal fabricators in Australia and New Zealand. Head colours can be matched to the Colorbond® range: send us the colour name and we match it. We pack in bulk cartons or in your own branded boxes and tubs.

Where Coloured Rivets Are Used

  • Roofing and flashings on metal roofs, ridges and flashing laps
  • Wall cladding and façades where fixings stay visible on painted panels
  • Fascia, gutters and downpipes for joins and brackets in matching colours
  • Sheds, garages and carports on steel-framed buildings and doors
  • Sheet-metal fabrication for enclosures, panels and trims

Choosing the Right Coloured Rivet

  • Match the grip range: the rivet length must suit the total thickness of the sheets being joined, not just the diameter.
  • Choose the material pair: aluminium / steel is the everyday choice; aluminium / stainless or full stainless is used where the mandrel should not rust or for coastal work.
  • Give an exact colour: a colour name from the Colorbond® range or a physical sample is more reliable than “grey” or “cream”.
  • Pick the head: a large flange head spreads the load on thin or soft sheet.

Common Purchasing Mistakes

Ordering by diameter only. State the grip range or the total sheet thickness as well, or the rivet may not set properly.

Describing the colour in general words. “Dark grey” can mean several colours. Give the Colorbond® colour name or send a sample.

Approving colours from a screen. Screen colours vary. Confirm with a physical sample for colour-critical jobs.

Mixing colours under one item code. Give each colour and size its own code and label so installers pick the right one.
