CSK Torx Driver Head Wood Screws

Countersunk Torx wood screws in 8g to 14g and M6 to M10, for timber framing, decking and construction, in carbon or stainless steel with zinc or Class 3 and 4 coatings.

Category:

Torx wood screws are countersunk timber screws with a six-lobe star drive. The Torx recess grips the bit far better than Phillips, so the bit does not cam out and long screws can be driven fast with an impact driver. They are used for framing, decking, landscaping and heavier timber construction.

Linkworld supplies countersunk Torx wood screws in hardened carbon steel and stainless steel, with zinc, Class 3 and Class 4 coatings. We pack in bulk cartons or in your own branded packs, and sizes, head styles and coatings can be made to your drawing or sample.

Choosing Torx Wood Screws

  • Size: gauge screws for general timber work; M6 to M10 construction screws for heavier connections.
  • Coating: zinc for indoor use, Class 3 for general outdoor use, Class 4 or stainless for coastal or severe exposure.
  • Point: Type 17 for hardwood and near board ends; sharp point for softwood.
  • Bit size: keep one Torx size per gauge across your range.

Screw selection for structural timber connections should follow the building design.

Common Purchasing Mistakes

Mixing Torx sizes. Different bit sizes on similar screws confuse installers. Keep the range consistent.

Zinc screws outdoors. Use Class 3, Class 4 or stainless outdoors.

Short screws in thick members. Check the length needed in the second timber member.

One code for all coatings. Zinc, Class 3 and Class 4 screws should have separate codes.
