Custom fasteners are bolts, screws, nuts, washers and small metal parts made to a buyer’s drawing or sample rather than taken from a catalogue. They are needed when a standard part does not fit: a special length or head, a non-standard thread, a shoulder, a hole, a different material or a particular coating.
Linkworld has made special fasteners to drawing for export customers for more than 20 years. Send us a drawing, a sample or a clear photo with key dimensions, and we will review the part, suggest the right process and material, and make it to your specification. Finished parts can be packed in bulk or in your own branded packs.

Who Uses Custom Fasteners
- Distributors filling gaps in a range with parts that are hard to source
- OEM and equipment makers parts for machines, trailers, solar and building products
- Construction suppliers special bolts, anchors and brackets for projects
- Replacement parts copying an existing part from a sample when the drawing is lost
How a Custom Fastener Order Works
1. Send the drawing or sample. A drawing with dimensions, tolerances, material and finish is best. If you only have a sample or photo, mark the key dimensions and tell us where the part is used.
2. We review the part. We check which process suits the part, which dimensions are critical and whether any small change would make it easier or more consistent to produce.
3. Samples and approval. For new parts, first samples are checked against the drawing before mass production.
4. Production and inspection. Our own QC team checks dimensions, threads and finish in our inspection room before every shipment.
Common Purchasing Mistakes
Sending a drawing without tolerances. Mark which dimensions are critical, so the part is controlled where it matters.
Leaving the material open. Give the steel grade or property class, or tell us the use so we can suggest one.
Forgetting the finish. Zinc, galvanised and Dacromet coatings change thread fit. State the finish at the start.
Changing the part after approval. Any change after sample approval should be confirmed in writing with a new drawing revision.
