Common Purchasing Mistakes
Ordering “stainless sleeve anchors” when you mean wedge anchors. A sleeve anchor has a full-length expansion sleeve, while a wedge anchor (through bolt) has a short clip at the tip. They are different products and should not share a stock code.
Assuming the whole anchor is stainless. On this product only the sleeve is 316 stainless. The stud, nut and washer are galvanised steel. Say so clearly on your pack labels.
Choosing length without allowing for the fixture. The anchor length must cover the fixture thickness, washer and nut as well as the embedment into the concrete.
Mixing finishes under one item code. Galvanised anchors with a 316 sleeve, all-galvanised anchors and all-stainless anchors look similar in a carton. Give each its own code and label.
