HWF T17 screws are hex washer face timber screws with a Type 17 cutting point. The T17 point cuts its own hole in timber, and the external hex head drives fast with a nut setter. They are used to fix roof and wall sheeting to timber battens and purlins, and for general timber fixing outdoors.
Linkworld supplies hex head T17 screws in 12g-11 and 14g-10, in Class 3 and Class 4 corrosion classes, with or without EPDM sealing washers. We pack in bulk cartons or in your own branded boxes, and other sizes can be made to your drawing or sample.

Choosing Class 3 or Class 4
In Australia, roofing and cladding screws are sold by corrosion class under AS 3566. Class 3 is the common choice for general outdoor and roofing work. Class 4 is used for more severe exposure, such as coastal and industrial sites. For a roof or wall system, the final choice should follow the roofing manufacturer’s fixing guide.
Choose screws with an EPDM sealing washer where the screw passes through roof or wall sheeting and needs to seal, and bare screws for timber-to-timber work.
Common Purchasing Mistakes
Ordering “T17 screws” without the head type. T17 is the point. State hex head, gauge, thread and length as well.
Writing “C3”. The correct name is Class 3. Write Class 3 or Class 4 on your orders and labels.
Leaving the washer out. Bare screws and screws with EPDM washers are different items.
Mixing classes under one code. Class 3 and Class 4 screws look alike in a carton. Give each its own code and label.
