T Bolts

T bolts and hammer head bolts M6 to M16 for T-slots, aluminium profiles, strut channels and solar mounting, in carbon or stainless steel, made to drawing or sample.

T bolts are bolts with a T-shaped or hammer-shaped head that locks into a slot or channel. Some slide in from the end of a T-slot; hammer head bolts drop into the slot and turn a quarter turn to lock. They are used on machine tables, aluminium profiles, strut channels and solar mounting rails.

Linkworld makes T bolts from M6 to M16 in carbon steel and stainless steel for distributors, solar and equipment makers and OEM buyers. Head size, length, thread and finish are made to your drawing or sample, and we pack in bulk cartons or in your own branded packs.

Where T Bolts Are Used

  • Solar mounting fixing rails and clamps to mounting systems
  • Aluminium profiles framing systems and machine guards
  • Strut and anchor channels services, brackets and façade fixings
  • Machine tables clamping fixtures in T-slots
  • Trailers and truck bodies fixings in channel sections

How to Specify a T Bolt

The head must match the slot. Give the slot width, the head width and thickness, the thread size and the length under the head. For hammer head bolts, give the head shape or send a sample from the rail or profile system.

Choose stainless steel for solar and outdoor systems, zinc or black for indoor machinery, and galvanised for channel systems used outdoors.

Common Purchasing Mistakes

Ordering by thread size only. A T bolt must fit the slot. Give the head size or send a sample.

Mixing profile systems. Heads for different rail and profile systems are not interchangeable.

Forgetting nuts and washers. If you need complete sets, say so at the start.

Leaving the strength class open. State 4.8, 8.8 or 10.9 for carbon steel bolts.
